Kyle Christian

General Manager/Head Golf Professional

Northwood Golf Club welcomes Kyle Christian as the General Manager / Head Golf Professional at Northwood Golf Club. Kyle has been the Head Golf Professional at Oneida Golf and Country Club in Green Bay, WI for the past five years. Before that Kyle worked at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, MN and The Vintage Club in Palm Desert, CA. Kyle has a Bachelor’s degree in Golf Enterprise Management and a minor in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Kyle is a Class-A member of PGA of America and has built an extensive background in golf operations over the past eleven years. He is excited to bring his positive energy to Northwood Golf Club and looks forward to making it a premier destination for all local and visiting golfers to the Rhinelander area. Kyle plans to provide lessons, build up the junior golf program and help the community to organize outings and fund-raisers. His goal is to create an atmosphere where visiting Northwood Golf Club is a very positive experience for everybody.

Joe Andersen

Superintendent 

Joe has been the Head Golf Course Superintendent here at Northwood Golf Club since the Spring of 1995.  His lengthy career in the field of golf course maintenance began in his home town of Eau Claire, WI at the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club in 1988, where he started with a position on the grounds crew while attending the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  He quickly became a crew leader, and soon after, was promoted to Assistant Superintendent through 1993.  Joe became the Head Golf Course Superintendent at Prairie du Chien Country Club in Southwest Wisconsin in 1994, and remained there until he was offered his current position at Northwood Golf Club.  Acting as Golf Course Superintendent and Head Mechanic, Joe strives to provide our guests with the highest quality playing conditions available.  In his spare time, Joe enjoys camping with family and friends, hunting, and woodworking.
